Obituary of Elaine Gregoire

Elaine Gregoire, 89, passed away April 29, 2023, at her home with loved ones by her side.

She was preceded in death by her husband Giles; sisters Jo and Rita; grandson Anthony.

She is survived by children, Rita(Eric), Joseph, Paul, John(Debbie), David(Deb), Ann(Jeff), Mary Jo(Dean), Marguerite (Brian); fourteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild;  sister, Enid; brother, Lloyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Elaine was born in Buffalo, New York – the eldest child of Lloyd and Corona Sauberan.   She married Giles in 1954 and began a life together.  She was a Registered Nurse for many years. After retiring, she moved to Sherwood, Oregon with Giles in 1995. She was very involved in her local parish at that time and loved volunteering in the church library.  She shared her love of nature and the outdoors with all her children and grandchildren. Elaine’s favorite hobbies were bird watching and identifying wildflowers. 

The funeral mass will be at Visitation Catholic Church in Forest Grove on Monday May 22nd at 11AM. A reception will follow Mass at the church hall. Interment will be in St Anthony's cemetery in Tigard.
